Materials: Video, wood chips, branches, leaves, pine cones, and other natural materials from the landscapes near three women's prisons in Berlin.
This choice fosters transnational solidarities across time and space between Berlin and Bedford Hills, New York, home to the first peer HIV/AIDS education program in a women's prison, and near where Voices was recorded. It also suggests that HIV/AIDS histories exist in the traces, silences, and interstitial spaces right in front of us and just beyond view.
